I purchased this rod on line and a Pflueger President reel. Guess what. The reel foot would not fit in the rod seat. (BE ADVISED NOT ALL REELS WILL FIT THE ROD SEAT) Rod seat is too short for the Pflueger reel foot. I'm sure this Shimano rod is a great rod but unuseable with my reel. I returned the rod to Bass Pro and they were very understanding and helpfull in fitting me up with a St Croix Premier 7'H as a replacement at no additional charge. Needless to say I'm a happy fisherman. Now i''m off to the northern Calif. coast to do some serious fishing.
