I am an avid Great Lakes steelhead fisherman. I've been fishing for steelhead for almost 20 years. One thing I learned quickly is that you don't have much of a chance against these fish with inferior equipment. Luckily I was introduced to G.Loomis steelhead rods about 10 years ago. I started off with the 9'6" GLX STR1141S. Great rod with excellent sensitivity and hook setting ability. On top of the outstanding quality of the rod, G.Loomis offers a lifetime limited warranty. They have proven to me that they stand behind their product. The one time I had to use this warranty, G.Loomis made it easy to return the rod and sent a new one to me quicker than I could have expected.
Since I''ve enjoyed using the 9''6" GLX for several years, this past year I decided to purchase the G.Loomis Float Rod. This rod offers all of the same great qualities as the STR1141S including; extreme sensitivity and hook setting. However, the 13''4" rod offers improved fish fighting ability, especially when clear water conditions call for light line and small hooks. The extra length also allows for long, drag free drifts.
Another great product from G.Loomis.

I like the feel and performance of the 11'4" float spinning rod. However, after having the rod for less than 6 months the insert from the rod tip guide broke off, and I will need to send it back for repair. I have used the rod less than 10 outing. Kinda fragile.
