I bought 3: heavy, medium heavy and medium all 7 foot. Even though I have more expensive and (better ?) rods, I am using these as my primary rods with Curado 200D's on them and loving it

I have a few and I am VERY impressed by them. They definitely feel like a $150 rod and have quality components. I use them for backups as well as techniques I do not use alot but would never hesitate to fish one as a primary setup. FYI the TD Pro rod at BPS is the Procyon and they have killer combo prices on th TD Pro reels TD Pro rods combo. Hard to beat for the money.

I have two of the procyon rods, both with baitcasters on them, The price may say cheap, but they are anything but cheap. Great rods, I use them for my medium running crankbaits and they have preformed well. Money well spent.

Daiwa procyon rods never again

2012-07-10T23:19:07

7/10/2012 11:19:07 PM 2 of 5 stars 2 out of 5 stars

I purchased 8 Daiwa Procyon rods and have already returned 3 of them within the first 4 months. The bait shop I bought them from is standing behind them but this is ridiculous. I have never in my life broken so many rods in such a short period of time. They are all breaking about the 4th eyelet down were the wrap starts for the line guide. I called customer service at Daiwa and they said there is nothing they can do, I will never buy another Daiwa product again. I was even willing to pay for an upgrade to a better rod if they would give me credit for what i purchased already and they said no. The next one that breaks i am going to start returning and getting credit for a different manufacturer
