My tenryu tuna spike sounds like the kind of rod your after its 8 foot 6 rated for pe 4-8 and lures upto 150 grams but there is also a lighter version rated for pe 4 -6 and lures to 100 grams . The demon blood rods look quite nice though and would be a bit cheaper

This is an amazingly light & strong rod weighing only 320grams. By comparison the OTI Tuna Sniper weighs 440grams. A great rod for casting all day.

Yes - got a spike tuna in 76 model, really really nice bit of gear. Can only imagine that the longer version would make a great stick bait rod - too soft for popping though

A mate of ours used one whilst we were spending about 8 days fishing up in Exmouth. he had it matched to a 4500 Saltiga and the ammount of times the rod was buckeled over as crazy. He hooked some damn good bottom fish and landed majority of them. Even when the unfortunate thing of sharks moving in happened, and he hooked one, the Tenryu still loved every minute of it!!

The Tenryu Spike Tuna is a nice rod but you might want to check out the Tenryu Spike GT that I have as well. I love this rod for smaller poppers and it works great with stickbaits. I just used it in Fiji with a Stella 10K(PE5) and it was by far my favorite setup. I caught 3 GT's(20-25K) with it and numerous Red Bass and it performed very well. I was throwing mostly 80-120g stickbaits.
